Suction-assisted lipectomy was performed for oriental patient in various methods for many years, but those results were not so satisfactory to the patients nor surgeons. To attain a harmonious retraction of skin and effective reduction of the fatty excess, ultrasound was applied concomitantly to the superficial plane over the intermediate fascia. Superficial ultrasonic liposculpturing added to the traditional deep-plane lipectomy allowed intensifying the fat removal process and promoting the skin retraction.
  Even in a patients with moderate hypermastia, the contour of the breast could be refined with two-plane lipoplasty including parenchymal ultrasound-assisted liposuction without reduction mammoplasty. With our two-plane lipoplasty with superficial ultrasonic liposculpturing, indications can be expanded safely regardless of age and location of fat deposition. In addition, star-like contraction of torso skin resulted in abdominal tightness, promotion of rectus muscle activity, early satiety and then spontaneous dieting with internal corset effect. Satisfactory body contour, skin retraction and spontaneous dieting effect could be obtained without significant complications.
